March 2023

The First Meeting

They met at a house party in Calabasas through a mutual friend. Neither knew what would come of it. At the time, they were part of a larger crew that spent weekends together, traveling and going out. Skylar thought she was beautiful. Jacqueline was focused on having a good time with her friends.

January 2024

New York, Just the Two of Us

The friend group planned a trip to New York. Then, one by one, everyone bailed. Skylar was already there for work. Jacqueline decided she still wanted to go. So what was supposed to be a group trip became their first trip alone together. Jacqueline was living her best single life. Skylar, on the other hand, was quietly starting to fall for her.

March 2024

Reunited

A few months later, they ran into each other at their friend Sam's birthday party in Calabasas. This time felt different. They spent the night catching up, dancing, laughing. Hours flew by without either of them noticing. The night ended at 4 a.m. after they had talked about everything and nothing.

Late March 2024

The First Date

Skylar finally asked Jacqueline on a proper date. They went to Rosemary's for dinner and planned to grab ice cream after. That was the plan, anyway. Dinner turned into drinks. Drinks turned into bar hopping. They closed down the last bar in town. Neither wanted the night to end.

Spring 2024

A Bold Question

A few weeks in, Skylar asked Jacqueline if she wanted to go to Bora Bora with him. She hesitated. After all, they were not even officially dating yet. It was a big ask. She thought about it. She was intrigued, but cautious.

Late May 2024

Official

By the last week of May, the decision was easy. They made it official. Boyfriend and girlfriend. The Bora Bora trip was happening.

June 2024

Bora Bora

Long walks on the beach. Island sunsets. Hours talking about their futures, their values, what they each wanted out of life and marriage. They came back knowing something had shifted. This was real. This was it.
